He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. The West affair takes Musk’s position to a different level, given the backlash against West in recent days. Potential changes in Twitter’s moderation policies were front and center after Musk clinched a deal to buy the platform in April.
