A Wishaw woman has hit the jackpot by wedding the man of her dreams in Las Vegas – three years to the day after meeting him in the same city.Amy Kerr tied the knot with Duane Smith in a vintage Vegas ceremony, in the same chapel as several Hollywood icons exchanged vows.The couple wed on April 19 – three years to the day when they first met, at a Rockabilly festival in the gambling mecca.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

So once restrictions were lifted it seemed fitting that we would return to Vegas and get married.“The Rockabilly festival where we met is the biggest of its kind in the world but because of Covid it hadn’t been back on so it made sense to go back over. “The chapel we got married in was featured in the Elvis film, Viva Las Vegas and stars like Judy Garland and Richard Gere got married there. “It was a small ceremony but it was perfect for us.
We had a beautiful wedding reception in the Lake District which was attended by all our family and friends.”Amy and 39-year-old Duane met in a bar at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly festival in 2019.After swapping phone numbers, the couple travelled back and forth from Wishaw to Duane’s home in Workington, Cumbria.Following lockdown, the couple moved
