Wishaw MSP delight at improvements to playparks in her constituency

MSP Clare Adamson has welcomed new figures which show £2.23 million has been investment playparks across North Lanarkshire including five playparks in Motherwell and Wishaw.The Scottish Government has provided £35 million to renew or improve play parks since May 2021 - £15 million in 2024/25 alone.A total of 887 play parks have been renewed, or were being renewed in Scotland, up to April 2024.Playparks in Motherwell and Wishaw that have benefitted from Scottish Government investment, include: George Street, Motherwell; Frood Street, Motherwell; Doon Street, Motherwell; Fir Place, Wishaw; and The Loaning, Motherwell.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
