Wishaw boss David Dunn hopes his side get off to the best possible start as they head into their West of Scotland Second Division campaign this weekend. The Beltane Park side kick-off at home to Glasgow University on Saturday, before travelling to Forth Wanderers on Tuesday.Dunn felt a slow start cost his side, and hopes they can show the form they ended last season in.He said: “This is what the boys have worked hard for over the last three or four weeks, to get a base to go and play, and we’re all hoping for a good start.“We didn’t start well last season and we were probably a wee bit unlucky.“Hopefully we can get a wee rub of the green this season and get a strong side out every week.“But the boys are fit and raring to go, and we’re hoping to kick on now and start showing everybody our end-of-season form, which would be ideal.” Dunn feels he has added well over the summer and that they’re well prepared. “I don’t think preparations could have gone any better,” he said, “but folk have to take holidays – we had a late finish last season, so we only had two-and-a-half or three weeks off, and you can’t expect anything else. “There are still boys to go away, so it’s getting as strong a team on the pitch as we can.”Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onTwitter via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
