Bolton Wanderers academy chief Mark Litherland has today left the club to 'pursue other opportunites'. Litherland had been with the Whites since August 2020 and has been with the club for the past two seasons.

He joined as Head of Academy having previously held the same position at Bury FC. However, Wanderers have now confirmed that Litherland has left the club for pastures new.

Andy Watkins will fill the void left by Litherland's departure for the meantime while the Whites recruit a new Academy Director.
