Josh Taylor's first world title triumph COST him £10,000 - now he's determined to hit the jackpot in Las Vegas. Taylor was crowned world champion two years ago when he outpointed Ivan Baranchyk in Glasgow.
He unified the super-lightweight title five months later after a bruising battle with Regis Prograis. And on Saturday night he will bid to become his county's first ever four-belt undisputed world champion when he takes on Jose Ramirez in Sin City.
But while Taylor has banked a seven-figure sum from his paid career, he was forced to pay back some of his early earnings. A clause in his Team GB contract compelled him to pay back £5,000 if he went on to win a British belt and double that sum if he won world honours.
