After his snooker career came to an end, Willie forged a new career as a TV star - competing in Strictly Come Dancing and in The Real Full Monty alongside Matt.
After news of his death broke, Matt took to Instagram to share a picture of the stars of The Real Full Monty and added a touching tribute to his friend.
Matt wrote: "To the peaceful giant who would always leave us Monty boys crying with laughter with your subtle one liners... "Rest In Peace Willie.
