‘Will Trent’ Casts Kyrie McAlpin In Recurring Role For Season 3
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Kyrie McAlpin (Birdie, Cheaper By The Dozen) has joined the cast of ABC‘s Will Trent for Season 3 in a recurring role.
New episodes air on Tuesdays on ABC and stream the next day on Hulu. She will debut in tonight’s episode as Sunny, a smart and resourceful tween who finds herself in the uncommon position of being the daughter of a criminal who now finds herself in the care of the deputy director of the GBI.
Based on Karin Slaughter’s New York Times bestselling “Will Trent” series, Special Agent Will Trent (Ramón Rodriguez) of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) was abandoned at birth and endured a harsh coming-of-age in Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system.
Now, he uses his unique point of view in the pursuit of justice and has the highest clearance rate in the GBI. Season 3 also stars Erika Christensen as Angie Polaski, Iantha Richardson as Faith Mitchell, Jake McLaughlin as Michael Ormewood, with Sonja Sohn as Amanda Wagner, and newcomer Gina Rodriguez as Marion Alba.
