It swept the boards at many ceremonies over the past year, so it’s no surprise that Normal People has been nominated for an award at the NTAs in the UK.
Also representing the Irish in this year’s National Television Awards are Graham Norton and Adrian Dunbar, who have received nods.
Normal People, based on Mayo writer Sally Rooney’s book, has been nominated for best drama at the NTAs, after receiving huge acclaim following its release last year.
The hit adaptation, which kickstarted the career of Kildare native Paul Mescal, is up against Des, a drama about serial killer Dennis Nilsen; It’s A Sin, which is about the Aids epidemic; and period drama Bridgerton.
