It was recently revealed that the energy price cap is set to increase again in October, leaving millions of Brits out of pocket.
In order to help with the rising cost of living, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rushi Sunak, has unveiled plans to give all UK households a £400 energy bill discount later this year.
Originally, energy customers were set to receive a payment of £200 towards their energy bills, which would then need to be paid back, however this new increased discount will not need to be repaid.
Rishi said: “We know that people are facing challenges with the cost of living and that is why today I’m stepping in with further support to help with rising energy bills.” However, how will those on pre-pay meters be impacted?
