Kilmarnock are facing a battle to re-sign Will Dennis for next season. Killie boss Derek McInnes is keen to lure the keeper from Bournemouth for a second loan spell.
But the Cherries want Dennis to be part of their goalkeeping squad. The Premier League side released former Motherwell keeper Darren Randolph but Dennis is very much part of their plans.
Rugby Park gaffer McInnes has done the majority of his business early. He has been linked with a loan for Ipswich Town and Scotland Under-21 cap Cieran Slicker, along with rivals Hibs.
McInnes also has several goalkeeping options that he is looking at if Bournemouth won’t play ball over Dennis. The hope is that the offer of European football will prove a big draw at Rugby Park after Killie finished fourth in the Scottish Premiership and secured a spot in the Europa League qualifiers for the first time since Steve Clarke guided them to third in 2019.
