Wilko announces date Livingston branch will close for good

The Livingston branch of Wilko is set to close its doors for good next month.The retailer announced the branch at The Centre, Livingston, will be among the last to shut on October 5.Administrators, PricewaterhouseCoopers, released an update last week confirming the closure of all stores.Wilko has been closing down its all of its stores over the past few weeks after it collapsed into administration in August after administrators failed to secure a deal, resulting in 400 store closures and the loss of around 9000 jobs.The brand did manage to strike deals with rival retailers, including B&M and The Range, meaning Wilko branded products will be sold in the Range while B&M will take over some Wilko branches.
