The family of Penelope Jackson 's third husband have claimed the ‘black widow’ caused him to take his own life after he found out she was having an affair with the man she went on to murder last year.
Alan Warrender married Penelope Jackson in 1988 but later committed suicide in 1993, shortly after he discovered his wife was having a secret tryst with David Jackson.
The claims have been made by Warrender’s family who say the RAF chief engineer, who was 43 when he died, had also struggled with money problems and had turned to alcohol.
Penelope Jackson, 66, was sentenced to life in prison last month after stabbing Mr Jackson, 78, multiple times, including while he tried to call for an ambulance at their home in February 2020.
