Salford Quays, Brendan spends up to six hours a day running around Manchester, sometimes having to fit the miles in around his work for Ladywood School in Bolton.
The mammoth challenge will see him rack up an eye-watering 1,204 miles in total across Salford, Manchester City Centre, Chorlton, Sale and more - 31 marathons in 31 days.
Brendan says it's worth it, having witnessed first-hand the good that days out at Chester Zoo can bring to his students, as well as the animals being conserved by the charity.He wanted to put his love of a challenge to use to help the struggling zoo get through their own challenging time in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
