Coronavirus can strike anyone from a prince to a pauper, but the effects of lockdown are far from equal. If you have the space and kind of job that allows working from home, access to the internet and a garden then the last six weeks may have been bearable.

But the government’s financial watchdog, the Institute for Fiscal Studies, and the Resolution Foundation think-tank have all warned there are unequal effects of the lockdown.
