Ryan Reynolds‘ gin brand won’t appear in the upcoming A Simple Favor sequel, Another Simple Favor.
Fans of the 2018 original movie will remember Blake Lively‘s character Emily serves up a “real martini” to frenemy Stephanie, played by Anna Kendrick, in a a frozen glass. Blake can be seen grabbing her husband’s Aviation American Gin for the scene in a moment of product placement. Blake and director Paul Feig later recreated the scene in a promotional sketch for Regal Cinemas, again promoting Aviation.
The director swapped out the gin brand in the upcoming sequel that premieres at the SXSW Film & TV Festival on March 7 before its release on Prime Video on May 1.
