Justin Timberlake was notably absent for SNL 50: The Anniversary Special. The “Cry Me a River” singer, who has gone viral many times over the years for memorable Saturday Night Live sketches, was not among the star-studded audience at the event over the weekend honoring the show’s 50th anniversary. Justin is known for SNL digital shorts like “D–k in a Box,” “Motherlover” and “Omeletteville,” as well as sketches like “The Barry Gibbs Talk Show,” and is a part of the five-timers club, having hosted the show in 2003, 2006, 2009, 2011 and 2013.
So why wasn’t he there to celebrate? Keep reading to find out more… Justin wasn’t in attendance because of his world tour. “Justin is in the middle of a world tour, and was unable to attend,” a source told E!
News. Justin‘s time on the show even won him Emmys, including Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for “D–k in a Box” in 2007.
Plus, he won the same award four years later for his opening monologue. He also won for Outstanding Guest Actor In A Comedy Series in 2009 and 2011 for his work on SNL.
