You may be wondering why repeats will soon be airing for Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago P.D. After tomorrow night’s new episodes of the One Chicago TV shows on NBC, they will be going on a hiatus. Keep reading to find out more… Most network TV shows do take an extended break over the holidays, and NBC has confirmed that One Chicago will be off from new episodes all of December.

However, there is some good news. The hiatus will end almost immediately once 2025 kicks off! Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago P.D.

will be back with new episodes on Wednesday (January 8) on NBC, which will mark their mid-season premieres! You might think that having to wait 7 weeks for new Chicago episodes to air seems like a long time…but ABC is making fans wait WAY longer than that for some of its shows!
