Whoopi Goldberg Reveals The Sage Advice She Gave 'Jersey Shore' Cast When The Show First Debuted

During an appearance on The View this week, the cast came together to promote the new season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, and while there, opened up about how Whoopi shared some really good advice for them as they were getting their start. Keep reading to find out more… After Mike opened up about how Whoopi was featured in his new book as well, Whoopi revealed just why that was. “When they first came [to The View], they were getting a lot of heat from people, and I was so glad to see you, because they were fresh and they were just ready to do stuff,” the moderator shared. “I said to them ‘Listen, they’re going to come for you, you’ve just got to stay strong, no matter what.’” Mike then recalled that Whoopi has remained one of the kindest people in the industry towards them. “Whoopi would pull me aside every time I’d come to the show.
The glasses were tipped, the pupils were dilated,” he said. “She knew, and it wasn’t what she said, it’s how she said it, and I’ll never forget that.
So, thank you.” Whoopi then replied, saying that she was “so proud of y’all, because you did not let them define you, you all defined yourselves, which is everything.” The new season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation will premiere on Thursday on MTV.
