Whoopi Goldberg has appeared on the front cover of VARIETY's pre-Oscars issue. The Color Purple star, 65, became the first Black woman in over 50 years to win an Academy Award in 1991 for her turn as Oda Mae Brown in Ghost.
Now Whoopi has donned the cover VARIETY as the publication readies for Sunday's Oscars ceremony. For the Hollywood Royalty issue of the magazine, Whoopi poses in a black ruffled dress from designer Christian Siriano on the front cover and in the photoshoot inside.
