The winners for the 2023 National Television Awards have been announced at a star-studded event in London. Happy Valley was the big winner of the night, picking up two awards, along with a special recognition gong for its star Sarah Lancashire.
Millions tuned in to watch the annual awards - which celebrates the best of British television - which were this year held at the O2 Arena in London, again presented by Joel Dommett.
Sixteen awards were up for grabs, including two new categories - TV Interview and Reality Competition. Among those up for awards were presenting duo Ant and Dec who picked up the best TV presenter accolade for the 22nd consecutive time.
As the pair collected the award on stage at The O2 in London, McPartlin said they are the “luckiest two men on telly” as they thanked the award ceremony, ITV and the public.
