The season 15 winner was announced on Wednesday night (September 23) live in Los Angeles. Host Terry Crews and judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara were on hand to help crown the new winner. Simon Cowell has been absent since the middle of the season as he recovers from surgery after a back injury.
