Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction
Millions will once again be watching a host of celebrities and famous footballers taking part in the annual Soccer Aid fundraiser.
The football match takes place on Saturday night and among those taking part is singer-songwriter Tom Grennan. Tom will be playing for the England XI alongside the likes of Liam Payne, Gary Neville, Russell Howard and Joe Cole.
The Bedford-born singer-songwriter, 27, first found fame after starring as the guest vocalist for Chase & Status' hit single "All Gone Wrong." He was encouraged to start performing after his friends were impressed at a house party where he sang along to The Kooks' "Seaside".
After studying acting at St. Mary's University in London, he started doing gigs around London at 18 and after a few years, was offered a contract from Insanity Records.
