The star is among the 15 celebrities taking part in the 2024 series of the BBC dance competition. Shayne, 39, first shot to fame in The X Factor, winning the second series of the ITV talent show back in 2005.
His debut single and album topped the UK charts, with the single, That's My Goal making it to Christmas number one. He went on to become a multi award-winning actor with his performance as Aidan Connor in ITV’s Coronation Street earning him the title of Best Newcomer at the NTA’s and Best Storyline at the Soap Awards, among other accolades. He went to St. Peter's RC High School and was passionate about music from an early age. He took his first steps on the road to fame as a member of club band Destiny, playing gigs at holiday camps and social clubs alongside fellow performers Tracy Lyle and Tracey Murphy.
