Since Hoda‘s departure in early January, the hour has been renamed Today with Jenna and Friends, and has featured celeb guests rotating in and out to co-host with Jenna Bush Hager.

Now, an insider is speaking out about how close they are to finding a replacement…and if that one name that is circulating is true. Keep reading to find out more… “[NBC] is not close to naming a permanent co-host,” the source told Page Six. “There’s been a lot of interest and a lot of celebrities and well-known names reaching out for consideration to guest co-host.” The insider also spoke to the rumor that Kelly Clarkson was up for the permanent co-hosting gig and that she was contemplating leaving her talk show to spend more time with her two children. “If she wants to spend more time with her kids, she certainly wouldn’t get that [at Today] and she’s never even guest co-hosted [Today With Jenna and Friends],” the source added.
