The character is chief among the Targaryen family, which the story (set some 200 years before Game of Thrones) revolves around.
King Viserys sits on the most dangerous chair in Westeros - the Iron Throne - as Lord of the Seven Kingdoms. Based on George RR Martin's 2018 novel Fire & Blood, the noble family has the power to control dragons, while the succession to the throne is proving competitive.
