Moe Sbihi was selected as Team GB's first Muslim Flag bearer for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics opening ceremony. At 33 years old, Moe is a decorated Olympic rower from Kingston upon Thames with one Bronze and one Gold Olympic medal to his name.
Moe studied Sport Science with Health, Nutrition and Excercise at St. Mary's University College, Twickenham where he joined on a sports scholarship and played both football and basketball.
The sporting star has been rowing for decades and was first spotted by a talent scout aged 15. He then joined the GB Rowing World Class Start programme.
Who is Moe Sbihi? Moe is the first Muslim to represent the UK as flag bearer for the opening ceremony and he takes real pride in this fact.
