Manchester United youngster Marc Jurado has been named on the first-team's bench to play Nottingham Forest this weekend. Jurado, 19, has made the first-team matchday squad for the first time in his career as a reward for his consistent academy performances.
The right-back joined United in 2020 on a free transfer from Barcelona and he's highly regarded in the youth set-up. The youngster, who was born Sabadell, Spain, began his career with Can Rull before making the switch to Barcelona's famous La Masia academy, where he spent nine years before allowing his contract with the Catalan club to run out. Jurado has made 25 appearances for the U21s this season and he's an important player for manager Mark Dempsey. He captained the U21 team in a friendly against Barcelona in February and he's got the attacking qualities of a modern full-back.
He signed his professional United deal in April 2021 and he's trained with the first-team on a few occasions this term. He also travelled with the squad to Spain for the winter training camp in December, where he played against Cadiz and Real Betis.
