Our screens will be lit up once again every Saturday night as Strictly Come Dancing returns for a new season. The popular BBC One dance contest is back with its launch show on Saturday, September 16.
And one of the many famous faces taking part this year is TV presenter and comedian Les Dennis. The Liverpool-born presenter, 69, made his debut radio broadcast all the way back in 1971 when he appeared on BBC Radio Merseyside's series Variety Time.
After appearing on a variety of shows that further spread his fame, including ITV's New Faces, and The Russ Abbot Show, he earned one of his most significant roles as a host on Family Fortunes.
He spent a total of 15 years in this role before leaving in 2002.
