A new film is coming to Netflix from the famed co-creator of Game of Thrones, D. B Weiss, and director Peter Sollett (Raising Victor Vargas, Freeheld, Five Feet High and Rising).
Metal Lords follows the story of two heavy metal fans, Kevin (Jaeden Martell) and Hunter (Adrian Greensmith), and follows their attempts to start a band in a high school where very few students care for the genre.
Unable to find a bass player, they recruit a cellist called Emily (Isis Hainsworth) for their upcoming slot at the local Battle of the Bands competition.
With Kevin on drums and Adrian on guitar/lead vocals, will their supergroup be able to navigate their way through the difficulties of teen life and on to glory? Read more: Return to Space release date on Netflix and what to expect from Elon Musk SpaceX documentary Heavy metal magazine Metal Hammer gave the film three and a half stars, stating that the film "is a true love letter to the genre" and going on to say that it is "going out of its way to show how inspiring metal can be when you first discover it, while also acknowledging the daunting nature of trying to keep up with our scene's many sub-genres and categorisations." The film has been out on Netflix since 8 April 2022.
