She wrote: "After four years of getting to embody the most special and enigmatic character Kat, I'm having to say a very teary-eyed goodbye." Earlier this year, there were reports of tension between the 25-year-old and series creator Sam Levinson.
The Daily Beast reported two instances while filming the second season such as Ferreira walking off set and injuring herself filming a hot tub scene.
