EastEnders, after tragically losing baby Peach at the end of last week. Tonight, she had a meeting with market inspector Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) about taking time off from running her stall, in order to grieve for her lost daughter.
However, Honey was unable to give her any good news as they sat down in the Queen Vic. Honey reluctantly pointed out that because she is self-employed, Whitney didn’t qualify for statutory parental bereavement leave or pay.
Whitney asked for her pitch to be held for a couple of weeks while she got things sorted, but Honey admitted that Mr Lister would only be able to hold it for a week at most.
She informed Whitney that if it were down to her she would let her take as much time as she needed, but that Mr Lister was concerned that it wasn’t fair on the male stall holders.
