White House Christmas airs tonight (Sunday, December 15)! The HGTV one-hour special will air at 6 p.m.
ET/PT. First Lady Jill Biden will tour the historic home with hosts Brian Kleinschmidt and wife Mika Kleinschmidt of 100 Day Dream Home.
This year’s White House holiday theme is “A Season of Peace and Light.” Keep reading to find out more… The special will showcase how the theme is reflected in each room and design element, “encouraging guests to embrace the peace and light of the holiday season,” via an official release.
Here’s a full breakdown, via HGTV: “More than 300 dedicated volunteers from across the country will bring the theme to life with an astonishing array of decorations, including more than 165,075 holiday lights, 83 Christmas trees, 28,125 ornaments, 9,810 feet of ribbon and 2,200 doves.” “White House Christmas 2024 will spotlight the festive holiday displays in each iconic space of the People’s House, from the Gold Star Tree exhibit that honors fallen service members and a stunning collection of bells adorning the East Colonnade to a cascade of peace doves suspended overhead in the Cross Hall and the majestic 18.5-foot-tall official White House Christmas Tree in the Blue Room.
