Regional Mexican star Gerardo Ortiz scored his 10th No. 1 on Billboard's Regional Mexican Airplay thanks to "Otra Borrachera" featured on his chart-topping album Mas Caro, Que Ayer.
The banda track, penned by Ortiz and Ruben Salazar, lifts 4 to 1 on the tally (dated June 27) and joins other No. 1 hits such as "Amor Confuso," the singer-songwriter's first song to top the chart back in 2012, and "Solo Vine a Despedirme," which peaked at No.
1 for 12 weeks (chart dated November 3, 2012). What's special about "Otra Borrachera" is that "a melancholic song was born -- but it’s also a happy song," Ortiz previously told Billboard. "It’s very unique and it allowed us to record two versions: one banda and the other with mariachi.
