The exact location of the planned Walter Smith statue at Ibrox has been revealed.Rangers will immortalise their legendary late boss in bronze outside the stadium where he delivered so much success, including an historic ninth Scottish Premiership title in a row in 1997.
He returned for a second spell in charge nine years after first leaving for Everton, and added a further three League championships, two Scottish Cups and three League Cups to the honours list.Gers commissioned plans for a statute on the first anniversary of Smith's death last year, and hope it will be ready just under two years since his passing.
A decision on planning permissions is expected on June 14 - when Scotland kick-off Euro 2024 against Germany - and then work can begin on erecting the tribute.
It will be built on the land between the corner of the Copland Road Stand and New Edmiston House. It will be the second statue on location at Ibrox.
