I've been shopping in budget stores since way before it was fashionable. It was always quite the adventure for my friend and I to get the bus to B&M in Farnworth for our banana shampoo and conditioner.
And it was quite the town for budget shopping - not many people realise that's where the very first Quality Save was opened by Bob Rudkin, who also had a market stall in Walkden, back in 1974.
