After the controversy following Matt Hancock's I'm A Celebrity appearance, fans were left confused as he failed to appear on the first episode last night.

The Tory MP confirmed that he has joined the ITV show but was nowhere to be seen on the launch show. The rest of the celebs who entered the jungle including Boy George, Sue Cleaver, Owen Warner, Scarlette Douglas, Mike Tindall, Charlene White, Chris Moyles, Jill Scott, Babatúndé Aléshé and Olivia Attwood made their way to the camp last night.At their initial meet and greet, the group of celebrities were told that some were voted by the public to be "Jungle VIPs" whilst voters were also tasked with deciding who would have the toughest journey into camp and face the first trial.While the celebrities got ready to head to the jungle, many were left wondering where Mr Hancock was.

However, at the start of the show, Ant and Dec confirmed that two more celebs will be joining the camp afterwards.In previous years of the show there is usually a few late arrivals who soon make themselves comfortable in camp but will Matt's jungle experience be comfortable?

Matt Hancock's spokesperson has confirmed he will be entering the jungle at some point.A spokesperson for the Tory MP said of his rumoured £600,000 fee: "Matt will be making a donation to St Nicholas Hospice in Suffolk and causes supporting dyslexia off the back of his appearance. "He will also declare the amount he receives from the show to Parliament to ensure complete transparency, as normal.
