Mishael Morgan — the daytime soap star who made history in 2022 by becoming the first Black actress to win Outstanding Lead Actress at the Daytime Emmys — is set to briefly reprise her role as Amanda Sinclair on The Young and the Restless.

On recurring status since 2022, Morgan is set to return to the CBS sudser this week. (Sadly, that’s all the show will reveal; it won’t share her exact appearance date because it comes with a story twist).

Morgan first teased her return via Instagram in January. “Guess who’s popping in for a visit!!” she wrote. Morgan hasn’t appeared on Y&R since March of 2023.

The actress, whose previous credits include Chicago Med, joined the sudser in 2013 — first as Hilary, who eventually died in a car crash five years later.
