As the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) prepares to roll out its second wave of cost of living payments across the country, pensioners may be unaware that they could be eligible for extra help.
Some could receive an extra £300 which will be paid separately from any other benefit, tax credits, or additional cost of living payment.
Unlike the Warm Home Discount Scheme or £400 energy rebate, the payment will be made directly to the recipient's bank accounts.
While the DWP has confirmed that these payments will begin to arrive between November and December, Minister for Work and Welfare, Victoria Prentis, provided a deadline.
