The latest Netflix serial killer docuseries is set to be released on the platform soon – and it might be one of the most sinister to date.

Conversations with a Killer: The John Wayne Gacy Tapes will outline the genuinely terrifying tale of a unique serial killer with a dark back story.

The Netflix tagline states, "He dined with the powerful. He preyed on the vulnerable. Beneath a smiling exterior was the horrifying darkness of a sadistic serial killer." While recent additions to the true-crime genre seem to have focused on cons and fraud (with shows like Inventing Anna and Bad Vegan proving very popular), this latest documentary could prove that Netflix's audience still has a fascination with the details of darker crimes.

The show was created by Emmy winner and Academy Award nominee Joe Berlinger.
