But there isn't long left before the holiday comes to an end. The Chancellor unveiled the government's plan back in March to extend the tax break by three months, giving homebuyers extra time to complete sales.
The stamp duty holiday, which was introduced last July to encourage the housing market, was extended from March 31 until the end of June.
This means that anyone who purchases a property that completes by June 30, 2021 won't have to pay tax on the first £500,000.
