The rise of SpaceX and Elon Musk’s bid to resurrect America’s space travel ambitions are the focus of a new Netflix documentary.
Return to Space is being billed as an intimate portrait of the first crewed mission launched from US soil since the retirement of the Space Shuttle in 2011.
The documentary follows NASA veterans Bob Behnken, Doug Hurley, and their families in the leadup to the launch on the private rocket and spacecraft.
It then takes viewers along for the ride to the International Space Station (ISS). Oscar-winning directors Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin were offered rare access to document the historic moment.
