“What the f*** are you doing?”: Man, 47, slammed car door on driver’s head in 'senseless' road rage attack

James Elliot, 47, had been in the outside lane when the complainant moved into his lane due to roadworks, resulting in the two vehicles clipping their wing mirrors.

The man then followed the Ford Focus in his VW Golf to a set of traffic lights in order to exchange details, Minshull Street Crown Court heard.

There, Elliot jumped out and approached the driver’s seat, asking the man: “what the f*** are you doing”. Words were exchanged before he opened the driver’s door and punched him twice in the face.
