Sabrina Carpenter is currently midway through her international ‘Short n’ Sweet Tour’ and, based on what we’ve seen online, she’s going all out at each and every show.According to Set List FM, the 25-year-old headliner typically delivers an elaborate three-act, 21-song, 90-minute set featuring all of her biggest hits including the aforementioned “Espresso” and “Please, Please, Please” among others.But, outside of Instagram clips and YouTube videos, it’s hard to get a sense of what a Sabrina Carpenter ‘Short n’ Sweet’ show is really like.Until now.The New York Post’s Angela Tricarico attended Carpenter’s Sept.

30 concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and filled us in.“It was really cool because in the first act she woke up and goes through her day,” Tricarico told us. “Then, the second act is the nighttime ‘Sabrina After Dark’ section.’ The third act goes further into the night and ‘Espresso’ is the next morning.”Highlights for Tricarico included the live debut of Carpenter’s “Busy Woman” — “instead of doing a surprise cover, she did that song so it was like ‘surprise, I’m covering my own song!'” — and “Because I Liked A Boy.” “It was so crazy live,” Tricarico gushed. “It sounded so good.”And, yes, the crowd went wild for Carpenter’s two biggest singles, “Espresso” and “Please, Please, Please.”“Everyone sang along the loudest to those two songs because everyone knows the words,” she smiled. “Of course, Sabrina sang literally every song on the new album and those two were toward the end.”More than anything, Tricarico was impressed by the show’s unique aesthetic.“I loved her set,” she noted. “It was like seeing the 1950s from a 1970s lens like in ‘Grease.’ They’re doing the ’50s in the ’70s.”Joining the pint-sized performer.
