What is wrong with Facebook? Users’ feeds full of celebrity fan messages

Facebook users are reporting that something appears to be wrong with the social media site this morning, as their homepages are looking a little strange.

Thousands of Facebook users reported problems with the platform from around 7 am on Wednesday morning, according to Down Detector, which has received more than 2,600 reports at the time of writing.

Facebook fans took to Twitter to report that instead of seeing the usual posts from their family and friends, their feeds are flooded with fan messages to celebrity pages that they have liked.

Twitter users shared screenshots of their feeds that show people posting to celebrities like Billie Eilish and Eminem. One Twitter user said: “Is anybody else’s Facebook news feed acting weird?
