The summer transfer window was due to open on June 1 but, with seasons likely to be played into the summer, its opening date has changed to the end of the season.
Players' contracts usually expire on June 30 but have now been extended to the conclusion of the campaign. Odion Ighalo's loan deal with United - billed as a 'six-month loan' - actually runs until May 31 since his parent club Shanghai Shenhua expected to be well into the new season of the Chinese Super League.
United finalised their list of summer targets in January and aim to execute deals in February with a view to concluding them early in the close season.
