In order to win the competition, sewers must make it through 10 weeks of increasingly difficult sewing tasks. The 2021 series of Great British Sewing Bee was won by 21-year-old medical student Serena Baker.
Serena is the show’s youngest winner to date and the first champion from Scotland. ‘When they announced that I was the winner I could hardly believe it,’ she said at the time. ‘I was totally overwhelmed and it was so much to take in. ‘It had been an intense 10 weeks, but mostly I felt just really happy and proud of myself.
