Auston Trusty has warned Kilmarnock that Celtic can bring their Champions League intensity - even to Rugby Park’s plastic pitch.
The American centre-back is desperate to be fit and make his first visit to Ayrshire this afternoon. Trusty was a stand-out performer for Brendan Rodgers’ side on Tuesday night as they blitzed German cracks RB Leipzig 3-1 at Parkhead.The contrast at Rugby Park will be stark but Trusty insists they won’t treat Derek McInnes’ side any differently to the Bundesliga outfit.
And he’s adamant Rodgers’ men can adapt their free-flowing speed game to astroturf.Trusty said: “The gaffer and coaching staff don’t allow us to treat any game differently.
We’ll prepare for a league match in the same way as a Champions League match - with the same intensity. At the end of the day, we’re a team who have to create our own environment.
