Britain’s cheapest new car, the Dacia Sandero, has just been crowned its best at the 2021 What Car? awards. The Sandero picked up Car of the Year for its 1.0 TCe 90 Comfort edition, despite costing less than half the price of its best-selling rival, the Ford Fiesta.
A basic Sandero will set you back £7,995 new, compared to £16,385 for an entry-level Fiesta. What Car? editor Steve Huntingford said: “The Sandero’s price is scarcely believable when you consider that our expert testing has shown it to be the equal of or better than most of its higher-priced rivals.
