St Kentigern's Academy in Blackburn has had to shut today after the heating broke down. Due to a heating failure that occurred a short time ago this morning, St Kentigern’s Academy has closed to all pupils today.

The school has notified all parents/carers via Groupcall. School buses will return pupils back to their original pick up points.

Pupils will still be able to access previous learning materials online through Microsoft Teams to study/consolidate prior learning.

A council spokesperson said: "Pupils that require to be collected will remain supervised within the school until parents/carers can arrange for them to be collected. "A further update will be provided to parents/carers via Groupcall later today also." Don't miss the latest news from the West Lothian Courier.
